Originally, we designed this home plan to be very traditional. Some of the spaces suffered because of that: small rooms with limited furniture placements. In this new plan, we have opened up the front foyer to allow for a more gracious entry, complete with a large closet for coats and such. The living room is now large enough for ample seating with nice views out to the front porch and yard. The dining room is also larger and shares the more formal feeling, yet openness, of the front living room. In this version of the Jonah Plan, we move through to the more informal kitchen and den area. This is where you’ll live your lives happily. The kitchen has ample space and an incredible dining island that allows up to six diners to eat face to face. There is also an option for a true craftsman classic – the corner buffet! Such a pleasure to sit next to a window with the natural light pouring through. This table will be the place you finish that 1000 piece puzzle with your child or simply enjoy your morning coffee every day. It will become part of your family memory. From your kitchen you can look across the den to see out to your backyard or possibly your porch/patio/screened porch; so many options.
